Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order details, personalisation text, collection/delivery choices, messages you send us, order-status lookup details, and technical information needed to keep the website secure and working.
Why we use it
We use customer information to take and fulfil orders, reserve and manage stock, process payments, send order updates, arrange delivery or collection, respond to enquiries, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain security, keep necessary business records and deal with legal claims or consumer-rights requests.
Our lawful bases
We mainly process order information because it is necessary to take steps at your request and perform our contract with you. We may also process information to comply with legal obligations and for legitimate interests such as website security, fraud prevention, customer service and keeping appropriate records. If we ever introduce optional marketing that relies on consent, we will ask separately.
Who we share information with
We only share information where reasonably necessary. This can include our payment provider (Square when online payments are enabled), email provider, delivery/carrier providers where needed, website hosting and security providers, and professional advisers or public authorities where required by law. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored in our shop database.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards and transfer mechanisms required by applicable data-protection law and the provider's contractual arrangements.
How long we keep information
We keep order and transaction records only for as long as reasonably needed for customer service, accounting/tax records, fraud prevention and legal claims; this can be up to six years where appropriate. Contact-form messages are normally kept only while needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up. Basket/session information is temporary and expires automatically.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law can give you rights to ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy in a portable format. Some rights have exceptions, especially where we must keep records for legal reasons. Contact us if you wish to exercise a right.
Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Information about how to do this is available from the ICO website.
Marketing
We do not currently use checkout or contact-form details for unsolicited email marketing. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide any consent or opt-out choices required by law.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the version currently in use.
